EARTH | ARK
- A photographic safari through northern Botswana

Earth   |arø|  noun. the planet on which we live; the world
Ark    |ärk|  noun. a vessel or sanctuary that serves as protection against extinction

This very first book published in May 2008 takes you on a visual journey through the wilderness areas of northern Botswana. The 120 images are from a collection of images taken over the past 8 years in the Okavango Delta, Kalahari and Chobe National park. Wildlife artist - Kim Thompson provided over 40 line art drawings and Taryn McCann the design and layout.

The primary theme behind the book is to create awareness of the other societies with whom we share planet Earth with. The country of Botswana protects large tracts of wilderness to play a role in conserving our planets heritage.

We live on a remarkable planet and it is true that we, to date, have not found another of it's kind. However, we are having untold effect on the health of Earth through degrading environments and loss of bio diversity.

A major ethic of the book is that the country that protects the wildlife should be the one that benefits through publications such as this one. Contributions from sales of this book are used to aid research and awareness.

The book costs US $ 65.00 and can be ordered through the contact page.

"In the end, we conserve only what we love. We love only what we understand. We understand only what we are taught."
